The Wiegand Farm Golf Classic has become more than just a golf outing – being part of this special day is an experience; a daylong celebration of our important ministry.
Our 45 th Annual Wiegand Farm Golf Classic was held on June 24 th at Crystal Springs Resort.
A Wiegand record, 351 golfers registered for this event, and we utilized 3 courses: Ballyowen, Crystal Springs and Wild Turkey!
The Wiegand Farm Golf Classic is now one of the biggest, best and longest-running golf outings in the entire country!
In addition to golf, we raised over $12,000 on our silent auction, featuring 120 prizes. We also gave away an $11,000 MEGA 50/50 prize!
The day was made extra special by Miss Teen New Jersey 2019, Ava Tortorici who spent the day with Mary and Kaleigh from Wehrlen House. In addition, we would like to thank The Morning Show with Steve Andrews and WSUS 102.3 FM; Total Wellness of New Jersey; Fitness Coaching, LLC; Ammon Labs; The Mobile Cigar Lounge, and Chris Bean Photography (cbeanphotos.com) for coming out to our event and hosting various giveaways and contests.

We had over 60 volunteers from the community, local companies, and from throughout Catholic Charities, who came out to this event including Sean, Darlyn, Bill, Billy, Mary, Kaleigh, and John who live at or are served by the Department for Persons with Disabilities. These great people are what the Wiegand Farm Golf Classic is all about.
We recognized several friends at the award ceremony and banquet, following golf. We were happy to honor Mark Avondoglio, Owner of Perona Farms, as our Dominic Calabrese Humanitarian of the Year. We also recognized Knights of Columbus Council #5563, Vernon, NJ as our Knights of the Year. Finally, we honored Heather Kevlahan as our Jack Kelly Community Leadership Award recipient for her service to our country and community.
We were also honored by the NJ State Knights of Columbus who made a $10,000 contribution to the Department for Persons with Disabilities.
Our Golf Committee has helped this event grow from a 68 person outing in 2011 to one of the largest golf outings in the entire country! Special thanks to the founder of this event, Jack Kelly, who has been with us throughout all 45 of our Wiegands; Monsignor John Hart and the Assumption Family for their support of the Catholic Charities Family; Denis and Denise Avagliano whose advocacy and leadership has helped this event flourish; and People Need Friends Volunteer Jenn Minervino.
We would also like to thank all of the golfers who came out to this event. Thank you for supporting our cause and for your kindness and willingness to make a difference. Your support will make a lasting difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities!
The Catholic Charities Family would also like to thank all of the Major Sponsors of the Wiegand Farm Golf Classic (see below) without you this event would not be possible.
